What We Treat

In clinic over the past few years, we’ve noticed a sobering pattern: even as modern medicine and science advance rapidly, several lifestyle-linked conditions aren’t retreating.

All liver diseases (combined): 30%+ (>100 million) in the U.S. Fatty liver alone affects roughly 27%–38% of U.S. adults [4,5].

Why is this happening?

It’s not only medical; it reflects diet, stress, sleep, movement, environment, and daily habits. At Eastern Medicine Center we treat the whole person—not just symptoms. As the Huangdi Neijing (c. 200 BCE) teaches, “When upright qi (zhèng qì) is sufficient, pathogens cannot invade.” We help you build and protect that upright qi through personalized, sustained balance shaped by genetics, family history, environment, diet, and lifestyle.

We especially encourage adults, particularly older adults to make monthly acupuncture part of routine care. Many patients choose to include acupuncture in their regular wellness routines to support overall balance and relaxation. Our holistic approach integrates acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, and moxibustion with a balanced diet, healthy habits, and practices that support mental and spiritual well-being.
